29 Jan How to Overcome Weather Changes on Your Wedding Day

As we live in a tropical island, Puerto Rico is categorized as one of the best destination wedding locations in the world. Puerto Rico offers a variety of stunning vistas whether you prefer the mountains, the beach, or a rich historical venue that will take your breath away. Planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico should be one of the most exciting and memorable moments of your life, yet it can be overwhelming if you aren’t familiar with the weather changes we sometimes experience on a Caribbean island.

Just when you think the wedding coordination can’t get any more challenging, here is what you should do if the city or venue hosting your wedding has been affected by a natural disaster.

Evaluate the situation

When an emergency happens- don’t panic! It is important to keep calm and trust the competent wedding planner and wedding vendors you have hired. They will handle the problem efficiently, and 90% of time, the bride and groom won’t even know that something ever happened.

Trust your Wedding Planner

(Assuming you have hired one!) Let the expert handle the situation; there’s always a plan B and a plan C for every unexpected event. He or she will get in touch with the wedding vendors and make sure they’re all on the same page. Depending on the severity of the situation, it may be necessary to postpone the wedding for a few hours, or even postpone the wedding date, and determine what to do about the wedding costs.

Re-read the contracts/ Insurance

In most cases, your wedding planner, venue, and other vendors’ contracts will include a natural disaster clause, meaning you may not be able responsible for the entire costs if you end up having to cancel the wedding. This isn’t always the case, so be sure to read the fine print and make sure the wedding planner and venue you have hired have a Wedding Insurance and or a Wedding Protector Plan that provides coverage for you and your guests.

Prioritize

The priority is to get married, and your wedding planner will work hard to make the impossible, possible, and make that happen! Let your wedding planner know which areas of the Rincon PR wedding are most important to you for your special day, so they can pay extra attention to make sure things run smoothly.

Keep calm and carry on

Weddings can be stressful because we want everything to be perfect and go as planned, but if something does go wrong, chances are it’s not a big deal and can be solved. And remember there’s no such thing as a perfect wedding. Perfect is perception, and it’s in your hands to make the most out of this beautiful day, no matter the circumstances.

Get married!

All you really need is love to get married! And of course, a marriage license, a priest or officiate and witnesses. Even if you can’t have the full reception party, you can still get married. You’ll never regret this moment of your life!
